
Frank Robertson
Frank Edson Robertson was born in Greenfield, Massachusetts Sept. l5, 1936 and grew up in Lowell and Chelmsford, MA. He received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Mass. at Lowell in '59 and both his Certification in Religious Education and M. Div. in Ministry from The Theological School of St. Lawrence University in '62. He was ordained by the Grace Universalist Church of Lowell in '62 and served churches in Barnveld, NY, Shelter Rock, NY, Paramus, NJ, Washington, DC, Santa Barbara, CA, and Evanston, IL. He did advanced study in World Religions at Columbia University and Union in the mid-'60s. Except for his Barneveld service, all of his positions have been as a Minister of Religious Education. He has served on the LREDA Board and the UUA Board and among his published works is the curriculum World Religions, published by the UUA. He has received the Angus MacLean Award, the IARF Award, and the Mark DeWolfe Award and was made Minister of R.E. Emeritus on his retirement from the Evanston church in 1998.
Currently, he lives in Plymouth, MA where he attends First Parish and recently reorganized their First Parish Men's Group. Among his current activities are: Chair of the UU RE History Group, Chair of the 400th Anniversary Celebration Committee of First Parish (gathered in Scrooby in 1606), serving on the Board of the St. Lawrence Foundation, serving on the IARF US Chapter Board, serving as Elder of the Massachusetts Society of Mayflower Descendants, and coordinating the programs of two antique glass studies groups. He lives with his partner Rick McDonald and they are grandparents to four children from Frank's former marriage in the '60s.
